INTERIOR DESCRIPTION
Cozy, open concept cottage, with two pull out sofa beds great for a family or 2 couples, full size fridge, microwave and a small stove as well as BBQ available to cook outside. Table and chairs for indoor dining or enjoy your meal outside on the veranda. Kitchen cabinets are stocked with basic necessities as well as plenty of wood for that roaring fire to enjoy in the evening.
EXTERIOR DESCRIPTION
Surrounded by beautiful mature trees, nearby brook and lots of woods to explore, it is safe to walk around and go mushroom picking, or for wild strawberries when in season. Fire pit is ready for roasting marshmallows or a sausage on a stick or perhaps that fish caught earlier in the day. Fairly quiet area with good access to the main roads that lead back to either towns – Combermere or Barry’s Bay.
ACTIVITIES NEARBY
Beach-motor boats/jet skis are allowed on the lake, great beach for children, pets allowed, lots of hiking trails, Polish heritage museum, Barry’s Bay town: restaurants, grocery stores, liquor/beer store, great gift shops and local art/handmade crafts available for purchase, Madonna House Pioneer Museum Catch a glimpse of pioneer home life and work. The Wadsworth Lake has an extensive collection of artifacts donated by the local community - preserving our heritage. Explore kitchen, parlor and bedroom exhibits as well as farming, carpentry, blacksmithing and bush work displays. Admission is free. Madawaska Valley white water rafting – enquire in Barry`s Bay town. Ottawa city is 2 hours away, great for a day trip.
Wadsworth Lake, there are many smaller lakes around but this one has the best beach and it is literally a 5 min walk down the street or minutes by car. In the town of Combermere there is a boat launch if someone has a bigger boat and there are rentals of jet skis, boats, kayaks etc.
RENTAL RATES:
High Season/Summer: $500.00/wk.
Mid-Season (May, June, September & October – 2 night min.): $400.00/wk. or $200.00/night
Victoria Day and Thanksgiving Long Weekend: $700.00/wknd.
Rates are for up to 4 adults. Children are free but number is to be discussed.
A $500.00 damage security deposit is due upon check in and will be returned to you upon check out or once the cottage and property have been inspected by the owner or his designate.
A 30% deposit is due to confirm rental dates at time of booking.
Outstanding balance and security deposit is due 28 days (4 weeks) prior to checking in.
