stony bay cottage Cottage is a private cottage and is well maintained 850 sq. ft. spacious, open concept cottage surrounded with floor to ceiling windows. Located 45 minutes north-east of Peterborough, 30 minutes from Lakefield (great town for shopping, restaurants, etc), Lake Kasshabog is 1 mile off the north eastern tip of Stoney Lake, just 2 hours from Toronto.
INTERIOR DESCRIPTION
The 1 bedroom cottage is set up with a "Great Room" all open concept living space, with a fully equipped kitchen, large dining area and cozy family/living room. The cathedral ceiling with cedar beams, windows overlooking the lake and beautiful field stone fireplace, gives you a warm cozy feeling and peaceful feeling.
(Propane is on the honour system. I have 2 tanks with one of them full as a standby. If you are using the BBQ and the tank runs out you can simply switch to the full standby tank. At your earliest convenience, I ask that you go into Lakefield and fill up the tank that is now empty. In that way no one is left without propane at anytime. I hope that this system works for you!)
EXTERIOR DESCRIPTION
The cottage is set on a 2 acre piece of property in a quiet bay on 306' of waterfront shoreline. There is a wrap around deck that hangs over the water. The lake is great for swimming with a variety of water entry to suit everyone. For the children, there is shallow water for playing or wading and a dock for jumping and diving off. Fishing in Kasshabog Lake is amazing even right off of the dock.
To help our environment and for those who are sensitive, only environmentally-friendly cleaning products (from reputable companies) are used.

Rental Rates & Information:
High Season/Summer: $1500.00/wk.
Mid-Season (May, June, September & October – 2 night min.): $800.00/wk. or $200.00/night
Long Weekend: $300.00/night
Rates are for 1 family.
A $500.00 damage security deposit is due upon check in and will be returned to you upon check out or once the cottage and property have been inspected by the owner or his designate.
A $700.00 deposit is due to confirm rental dates at time of booking.
Outstanding balance and security deposit is due 28 days (4 weeks) prior to checking in.
