Ceili Cottage on Mississagua Lake was built in 2012. This four season executive cottage on Mississagua Lake offers a multi-use space that is both modern and peaceful. The two-acre lakefront property is perfect for those looking to host a wonderful family getaway, an inspiring retreat, or even just a spot to escape for some R ’n’ R. This 2800 sq ft cottage features five bedrooms, three bathrooms, two living rooms, a gourmet kitchen, walk in pantry, high end finishes, hardwood floors throughout, three flat screen HD TV’s with satellite, high speed internet, front walk out 2-level deck, and a screened in outdoor eating area, which offers nightly sunset views.

INTERIOR DESCRIPTION

This two-story luxury cottage offers an open concept main floor that is well suited for group entertaining. The gourmet kitchen is fitted with stainless steel appliances, top of the line equipment, marble countertops, and an island that seats six. The dining area has a large table seating up to twelve, while the living space provides a large L-shaped couch to enjoy the wood-burning fireplace. One large bedroom and bathroom are also located on this level. Blu-ray player, 3 HDTVs, DVD player and home entertainment system are available for your enjoyment.

The second floor features three bedrooms, a master bedroom with ensuite bathroom, one additional bathroom, a laundry room, and a second living room with vaulted ceilings.

EXTERIOR DESCRIPTION

With two acres of private outdoor space, the property offers something for everyone. Ceili Cottage is a waterfront property located on Mississagua Lake in Lakehurst. Approximately 50 feet from the upper cottage deck is your private waterfront, which boasts excellent, clean, calm, and deep water swimming from shore. The waterfront area is characterized by smooth Canadian Shield rock with a gradual incline. This allows for easy water access and shallow water swimming areas for families with children. There are two 10’ x 10’ swimming platforms in the water and one 10’ x 10’ deck located at the water’s edge. The ‘point’, located 100 feet from the main swimming area, offers additional swimming and is regarded as one of the top fishing spots on the lake. Motor boats can be brought into the lake at Mississagua Landing and anchored in the bay in front of the cottage.

Enjoy the large three-level cedar deck located directly off the main floor’s lakefront entrance, which extends into a screened in shaded porch area. The cottage and property also feature an abundance of outdoor furniture including patio tables, chairs, benches, loungers, umbrellas, and hammocks.

Ceili Cottage has a canoe, two kayaks, and numerous water toys including pool noodles and snorkeling gear. We always recommend bringing your own personal life jackets fit to size.

We stayed at the Ceili Cottage for a week in July. We were a family of 8, including a toddler just over the age of 1. The cottage is very family and kid friendly, with lots to do indoors and outdoors.  The Canadian Shield rock entry in to the water was perfect for my son, as he was able to walk in gradually and even sit in the water to play safely. My friends and I had a great time at Ceili Cottage! We have been renting cottages for many years now and we pick a new place every year. This cottage was my favorite so far! We couldn’t have asked for more perfect weather. We were out on the water all day and we made great use of the kayaks, canoe and paddle boards (my favorite). I even fell asleep while laying on a paddle board.. that is how relaxing it was! We used the fire pit at night and I didn’t get one single mosquito bite during the whole weekend (that’s a first)! The muskoka room was also a plus to cool off with the breeze.  The cottage itself was gorgeous and beautifully decorated. It was spacious and very comfortable. The kitchen was big enough for a few people to cook at once.  It was a wonderful long weekend and I couldn’t have asked for a better one! We all had tons of fun and made lots of memories.

 

Our annual family cottage gathering was enhanced by our rental of Ceili Cottage on Mississagua Lake.The near perfect setting offered a great waterfront for all water based activities, a beautiful daily sunset, privacy and lots of areas for children to explore. The kitchen was well appointed with all the modern conveniences. Food supplies were an easy 15 minute drive away in Buckhorn. With the exceptional configuration of bedrooms and bathrooms we were able to ensure our young families had the run of the 2nd floor and the grandparents had the privacy and peace and quiet of the main floor bedroom-a much needed option for multi generational holidays!  Inspite of the cooler than usual weather we enjoyed our stay immensely and wouldn’t hesitate to return. –Christine B.

 

Our experience at Ceili was amazing. We absolutely loved the cottage. The interior was renovated to top notch standards, and the fact that the cottage had its own private lake frontage only added to our experience. Our week at Ceili Cottage was fantastic.    The cottage was perfectly laid out for our family, with good sized bedrooms, a fantastic common area upstairs for the kids to hang out.   The kitchen was beautiful and extremely well stocked with utensils and appliances, and the attached open family room allowed everyone to be together.     The deck and attached screened in area allowed us to eat outside even at dusk (when the bugs came out) in comfort.  The property itself is probably one of the best locations on Mississagua Lake.  We really enjoyed walking out to the point and laying on the rocks on the property.  We also enjoyed a fire every night!  We would highly recommend this cottage. -Mike
