 cordova lake island cottage

Sleeps 14, WiFi, Very Good Swimming, Walk-In Entry, 9.9 HP-12’ Boat & Motor, Pet Friendly

A rocky island on the edge of the Canadian Shield. A very private location with plenty of area to roam around to view the picturesque panoramas. A grand view down the length of the lake. On the other side of the island is a view of the bay, resembling a small fishing village.

Beautiful, deep swimming areas as well as shallow walk-in area, but water shoes are highly recommended. Inside, the cottage has wooden, cottagey interior and high ceilings. This is no house on the lake, but a comfortable cottage where you can live the true cottage experience.

From the boat launch at the end of the parking lot, it is a 3-5 min boat ride to the cottage.

Thank you for sharing your cottage with us, we had an unforgettable Thanksgiving weekend there. The cottage and the island are really pieces of paradise!  The weekend was truly beautiful. The cottage was in a really neat shape, clean, no problems at all. I loved how quiet it got there at night. No roads anywhere nearby.  We had a lot of fun with the good old games, and there were plenty (monopoly etc.). The massive book case on the wall had lots of good books, and the old Vogue magazines are sure to entertain someone on those rainy days (some were from 1976 and all in good shape). I’d take some kids DVD’s next time around, as there were maybe 1 or 2 truly kids movies. The tree house was a hit with the kids, and the whole island is great for games and fun (hide and seek etc.)  The wild water kayaks were fun and at the same time a challenge to paddle properly.  The owners communicated all the instructions timely, all worked out well, including the boat & motor that was needed to reach the island cottage.  -Gab D.  (Oct. 2016)

The Cordova Lake Island cottage was a delightful, private and peaceful retreat with plenty to do and see.  The cottage itself is large, charming, and fully equipped with all the necessities you will need.  The dock is great for swimming off of; it’s calm, clear and virtually weed free.  The island is close to the landing dock, but far enough to provide privacy.  Pack light or be prepared to make a few trips back and forth.  There were many different activities available.  Our only regret was not staying longer. -Dan L.
