Description

Sleeps 8, Great For Children, Beach, Sunsets, Large Deck, Awesome View, Large Docks, Great Swimming, Pet Friendly

The most appealing features of our cottage are privacy and spectacular views. Set on a 10 acre island, a short 5 minute boat ride from the marina, it is ideal for people who value their privacy and love the water. There are only two other cottages on the island, at the opposite end, with natural forest between. The cottage is right on the water, facing west with a huge deck from which to watch the stunning sunsets. The guest bunkie, also on the water, faces east. There is a private protected bay with a boat and swim dock, facing east for morning sun and a swim dock and swim raft in front of the cottage, facing west. No manmade landscaping, just natural red pine forest, with a mix of other pines plus a few hardwoods.

TESTIMONIALS

Jack Lake Island Paradise was just that – Paradise. The owner, Rick, was super informative and answered all of questions. The sunsets were picture perfect and there was lots of room for our two families. Thanks once again for a wonderful stay! -Susan M. (July 2022)

Thank you again for all your help with Jack’s Lake Island Paradise … we truly had a wonderful time.  We really did enjoy ourselves and it is a wonderful property.  The sunrises/sunsets were truly amazing and we spent lots of time on the swimming dock.  The hammock was very relaxing and a popular chill spot.  We loved how warm the lake was at a constant 76°.   The cottage was great, and we found everything we needed and more.  The stars are best viewed from the deck of the bunkie which we did nightly. Thank you for letting us rent your place we truly had a wonderful time and would definitely consider coming back in the future. -Jeffrey & Paul Reffo

Our week at Jack’s Island Paradise was spectacular.   The cottage and location were superb.  We were able to ski, wakeboard and fish on beautiful Jack’s Lake.  The sunrises and sunsets were breath taking.  The cottage is simple and very functional – it truly felt like we got away from it all.  We also enjoyed reading, music and games with family.  Thanks to the owners for sharing. -Terrianne T.

Amazing cottage experience filled with family memories that will last a lifetime.  My husband and I had moved across Canada a few years back. We were missing home and our families, we thought of surprising everyone with a family reunion. First ever for this family. We thought what better way than to meet at a cottage and relax while we reconnected.  Thanks to Ken and his amazing website, it was easy to pick our dream cottage for this vacation, and there were plenty to choose from.  Ken took care of making all the arrangements for this family vacation, and being out of province, this could have been frustrating. But Nope, Ken made it very easy and worry free.  Our family had an amazing time. We had grandparents to a toddler, and everyone found something to do (even if it was to do not a thing but sit back and enjoy the views).  There was amazing fishing, a lot of boat fun, and swimming galore. Not once did we hear “I’m bored”.  I especially loved the views, from looking at the water all day, to the sunsets and the night skies filled with millions of stars.  We loved our experience, every minute of it. The memories made on that trip are held very close to each and everyone’s heart.  We will be using Kawartha Cottage Vacations again the next time we plan another trip back home. It was just too easy and a great booking experience, I can’t fathom using anyone else.  Great job Ken, thank you for everything.  Please pass on our wonderful experience to the cottage owners as well.  -Barbara P. (2015)
