We had a fantastic time at Little Lake Special. The cottage is brand new (and very clean), and you can tell a lot of love went into setting it up. The layout is really nice, and even though the cottage isn’t huge, it felt like there were a lot a of spaces to hang out in which was perfect for us. We particular loved the covered back porch for spending outdoor time on and for watching an amazing thunderstorm over the lake. The beds were also very comfortable, and the shower/bathroom was very nice. The water was lovely and warm, and it was nice to have a shallow and sandy (almost completely rock-free!) walk in. It was perfect for the dog who was with us (who was a bit nervous of water) and would be excellent for anyone with small children. It’s not a ‘wilderness cottage’ but the lot is wide and the neighbours were lovely and quiet (and there is definitely good star gazing/bird watching/firefly spotting/etc.). It is also conveniently close to town. Michele (the host) was incredibly responsive to email and texts, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. Would definitely recommend this cottage! – Rebecca M.
