This well-maintained and spacious lakehouse (over 3,300 sq ft) is privately situated on Upper Buckhorn Lake in the town of Lakefield/Selwyn, only minutes away from the Trent Canal locks in a tranquil and relaxing setting.

Maggie’s Haven is fully furnished, professionally decorated and professionally landscaped (front and back). Year round paved access to this 1 acre property affords activities of your choice. Fishing rods available, 2 free-standing hammocks, 2 bicycles, and 2 kayaks with paddles. The L-shaped deck at side and back of lakehouse faces the waterfront. Breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding islands with fantastic evening sunsets. On the way down to the dock you can relax in a chair, have a camp fire while marveling at the night sky. Or you may to relax at the conversation area in one of the chairs or love seat at the shore line area. Or perhaps you feel like curling up in the rocking chair, one of the chairs or on the love seat bench on the front porch.

As the owner’s pontoon boat (not available for rent) is on one side of the dock, rental clients need to understand that they will only have access to the other side of the dock for comfortable swimming. If clients are bringing or renting a boat, depending upon the size, it will likely project into some of the swimming area. The owner recommends that if a renter will have a boat and therefore using one side of the dock, that the owner’s pontoon boat be moved for a cost of $250.00 (pick up and storage by marina). This will give rental clients full access of the dock and make the area more comfortable for swimming.

This was a family vacation that my mother in law wanted to do. The house and location were just fantastic. We meet the owners when we arrived on the Friday and they gave us some info about the house. The cottage was exactly as described. We were 10 guests and there was more than enough room for everyone.The kitchen was fully stocked with all the tools you would need. Long dining table fit everyone. The hot tub was perfect. Hammock by the water was a popular option all weekend, as well as the kayaks.
