The screen room was by far my favourite part of the cottage, whether it was quietly enjoying my morning cup of coffee before everyone else woke up, or playing games enjoying the bugless outdoor views and breeze. The raised dock was an amazing place to relax, read a book (or two) and take in the views of the lake. The kids enjoyed jumping into the lake and even I took the plunge…twice. The kitchen speaks for itself and makes it a pleasure to prepare our meals. The skylights in the bedroom allows you to enjoy the stars while drifting off to sleep in one of the most comfortable beds ever and provides amazing natural light throughout the day. Being a short drive to all amenities was a bonus. For those that bring pets (like us), there is limited space to walk the dogs without going out onto the main road but we made it work. I would definitely recommend and would love to go back. —Kris and the rest of the Sirman clan (July 2022)
McLeod Landing was amazing! Comfortable and clean. With a separate screened-in room the kids were able to watch a movie or play a game while we played cards at the dining table. Although we could see them we were able to close the door so we didn’t have to hear them. 🙂 There is a great boat rental down the street. I highly recommend renting some canoes and kayaks to go through the local locks which are minutes away (no paddleboards allowed). The only drawback would be there are no hiking/biking trails within walking distance. Your host is very accommodating and always responded quickly if we needed anything. The neighbours were also very friendly and offering assistance if needed. McLeod Landing is a 5-star stay. —Vicky H. (July 2020)
