Gorgeous open concept bungalow with central air for those hot summer days! Vaulted ceilings and modern skylights add to the bright and spacious atmosphere of this large cottage. Large windows allow views of lake from all living areas – kitchen, dining room, great room, and sitting room. Original stone fireplace is in the great room, also two gas fireplaces if it gets chilly. Enjoy the beautiful weather on the expansive deck during the day and the flagstone firepit at night.

“Have you ever ended a long day in a hot tub soothed by warm water, gazing at the stars? Now imagine that surrounded by beautiful pine trees and your own private patio! Nestled into the back of the cottage you’ll find your own personal oasis. A small patio and hot tub area meets the edge of the forest, providing the perfect place to wind down with fresh air and experience the brightest stars the Kawarthas have to offer!”

Watercraft (2 canoes, 1 double kayak + 1 standup paddleboard) provided for exploring the lake, including a flat rock in the next bay for great swimming. The cottage is in a quiet bay that backs onto woods for hiking, or discover Fairy Lake Island which is also wooded. Explore the lost channel by canoe or kayak and find the hidden journal in the rock face or curl up with a book and relax! See the loons nesting right around the corner, deer wandering into the yard, osprey fishing in the bay and the many ducks and geese. Great fishing right off the dock and in the surrounding lake areas. The cottage is located on a large flat grassy lot, perfect for outdoor games including basketball. While the cottage gets sunshine all day, there are trees on the property that provide shady spots as well.

Well-situated for access to many amenities including a convenience store, gas station, boat launch, watercraft rentals in Burleigh Falls. Winter accessible and close to many trails for avid snowmobilers.

TESTIMONIAL

All of us from young to old and including two pooches had a thoroughly enjoyable time at The Pines. The cottage posting captured the essentials of the cottage and amenities but the reality was even better. We thought a single storey cottage might be a little cramped but there is ample room for all activities whether eating, playing, relaxing or sleeping. Outside fulfilled all of our hopes with lots of space for bean bag toss or our usual game of Bocce. The dogs enjoyed it too at the ends of their long tethers. The water was warm and an easy walk in and the great range of water craft were well used. No sign of weeds nearby so swimming was another popular past-time. Of course our level of enjoyment was raised considerably by the cottage owner and host, Kim. The very, very best we have ever met over many years of rentals. It started on day 1 when she offered us a short tour of the lake in her family pontoon boat. The 15 minute trip turned into over an hour of well informed sightseeing of everything of interest. Thereafter she always responded to any of our questions expeditiously and allayed any concerns while offering fulsome responses. She even called us when she was visiting family to warn us of a potential storm and risk of a power outage. We got the power cut and she gave us simple but comprehensive instructions to reset critical infrastructure. She is a fountain of knowledge but never obtrusive. However the family consensus was that her crowning achievement was to find us a very reasonably priced person to do the end of stay cleaning! We all unreservedly recommend both the cottage and especially the owner. Thank you, Kim. – The Wilsons (Aug 2022)

The large dock and location was perfect for our boating, swimming, and watersports activities. The cottage and bunkie fit our family and guests very well and was comfortable for meals and evening entertainment. – Kathryn M. (Jul. 2019)
