Private Wilderness Lakehouse is located on crystal clear turquoise Sandy Lake, only 1.5 hours from Toronto. It is an inviting pine clad cottage on one floor (3000 sq ft but 2300 sq ft to be rented). The Lakehouse is elevated at 50 feet above the water and is approximately 90 steps to the lake. It is nestled in a very private setting with 300 feet of shore, a 4’x 40′ dock plus 8′ x 20′ floating dock. Sandy Lake is crystal clear with a step down, sandy entry into the water onto a hard sandy bottom for 20′-30′ which becomes softer and deepens to 6 feet about 50’ out. After this the water quickly becomes deeper.

INTERIOR DESCRIPTION

The cottage features maple laminate flooring throughout. The large modern kitchen has a 9’ island with an 8′ sliding patio door to walkout onto the large 85′ deck and propane BBQ. The great room adjoins the kitchen and features large picture windows offering partial views of Sandy Lake. As well it is complete with 8 skylights, stone gas fireplace, adjoining dining room and a walkout to the deck. There are 2 stone and tile bathrooms with a tub and shower. One of the 2 bedrooms has their own walkout to the outdoors. The sun room, also the 3rd bedroom, has a walkout as well and is equipped with 2 double futons and 1 single futon. There is another double futon in the living room.

EXTERIOR DESCRIPTION

There are 90 steps to crystal clear turquoise Sandy Lake where there is a sun deck, 4 kayaks & canoe.  The 300 feet of private shore offers a sandy entry, with few weeds (water shoes recommended), a gradual slope, 2 docks with ladder for exiting, hard sandy bottom further out and is about 6 feet deep 50′ from shore. From here it gets deeper quite quickly. The lake is good for motorboats, canoes, kayaks, etc. Four kayaks are available with rental.

Has parking for 6 vehicles.

There is also a fire pit for evening camp fires and great conversation.
