Enjoy this newly renovated (2022) cottage with an addition that provides a fabulous relaxing view of Miskwabi lake. The beach and waterfront are shared with only 20 other cottages on a small dead end street (not open to the public). Both the upper and lower portions of the cottage have large window views of the lake and each walk out to the large deck or lower patio. There is also a great south view of a small valley of wooded area right on the property. This is a common area for early morning deer or wild turkey to wander through along side a small creek. This is a fabulous place to relax and enjoy with your family and friends. The town of Haliburton has many great adventures and shopping for further entertainment.

INTERIOR DESCRIPTION

As you walk in the front door to the right is the new kitchen with quartz countertops with all amenities to prepare a great meal while not tucked away so can enjoy company and lake view. The dining and living room area is immediately to the left and beside the kitchen with the lake view. The 2 quaint bedrooms and upper bathroom is further along past the dining area.  The stairs to the walk out lower level is conveniently located front right of the cottage.  As you enter the lower level you will also have a very large view of water and fire pit.  The inviting gorges old cedar strip canoe as a overhead chandelier casts light onto the rec room area and gas fireplace. Two larger themed bedrooms are adjoined to this room, one with the same great view of the lake.  There is also a large bathroom with tub, shower and 2 sinks, vanity as well as heated floor.  When you wake up on either level you can help yourself to a hot coffee at the coffee bar adjacent to the rec room.

EXTERIOR DESCRIPTION

The cottage is all new (2022) including deck, siding, roof, windows, flooring, etc. The 190 plus feet of shore line is shared with 20 other cottages only and many times no one is there at all.  The shore has 3 large docks and plenty of area to put a chair right on sandy, stoney, grassy shore with shallow walking friendly entrance.  There is a small creek that runs through the property to the lake. The bay warms up quicker than the big lake which makes for great swimming.

Walk-in entry is acceptable for young children or the elderly that may have mobility issues

Weeds: not many in swimming area – some weeds for a great natural look off to the sides

The water is approximately 4 feet at the end of the dock – has ladder for exiting

The shared dock is large enough to hold an 18’ – 22” bowrider/pleasure/ski type boat

Miskwabi Lake is chain into Long Lake

This lake chain is good for motorboats, water skiing, paddle boarding, kayaking and canoeing

Two kayaks, canoe, paddle wheeler and paddleboard are included with your stay

Decks (are private) front 44 ft x 14 ft, drive side 5 ft x 20 ft, valley side 8 ft x 20 ft (all connected)

The cottage has only one other cottage beside it that is approximately 40 feet from building to building with a small tree line between – barely another in view….hundreds of feet away!

The cottage was bigger than we expected, actually, the open layout was amazing! We loved that main floor and deck so much. Plenty of space for sleeping, and the beds were quite comfortable. Kitchen was well-stocked, there wasn’t really anything that we couldn’t find. Amazing view of the water, we sat on the deck or down by the water the whole time 🙂 Way more water toys like canoe, kayaks, etc than we expected, so that made it really fun. Absolutely wonderful gem of a cottage! So happy I found this spot to make memories with the little ones and perfect setup for our two families. Ian kept regular communication and was available for my questions. Location is right on the water with a few steps to the private dock (where we spent most of our time), with lots of water toys (kayaks, paddle boards). Highlight was seeing the massive turtles!
